Hi,

can some one please guide me about the below issue

#apt-get install collectd

I am on Ubuntu Server 8.04
i followed the suggestion as mentioned here --->
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+question/50778 but
it didnot work for me

I think we'd need to see dpkg.log, so opening a bug on launchpad is
best. But perhaps see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/collectd/+bug/297288
Do you need to add your hostname to /etc/hosts?

I have added the hostname too in /etc/hosts and followed suggestion as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/collectd/+bug/297288
did not worked for me

Please suggest further
