Splitting mysql for Akonadi
Akonadi, used to keep calendar and address information in KDE 4.2,
uses an instance of mysql run as the user. It needs libmysqlclient and mysqld but not all the other data files and not the running server needed for non-desktop use of mysql. I'd like to split up the mysql-server-5.0 package so that desktop users do not get a running mysql server and don't have unnecessary data files taking up precious CD space. http://www.kubuntu.org/~jriddell/tmp/mysql/mysql-server-5.0.debdiff Jonathan -- ubuntu-server mailing list ubuntu-server@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam |
