Default ubuntu-hardy-amd64 build failed

Amit,

After rebasing with the Ubuntu-hardy and applying couple of moblin new
patches the amd46 build failed, there seems to be a problem with amd64
build script.
Here is the snippet of the failure. The complete build log can be found
at
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11725795/buildlog_ubuntu-hardy-amd64.linux
_2.6.24-6.11_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

Both i386 and lpia were built successfully.
I will try to rebase with Ubuntu-hardy again and see if this has been
fixed by now, will let you know how it goes.

Thanks
+Jay

Hi Jay,

Typically, you shouldn't have to worry about build failures on other
architectures, unless something fundamental is broken. At various
times, depending on what patches have been integrated, some
architecture/flavour might fail to build. These are caught during the
test builds that we do for all architectures _before_ uploading it for
public consumption.

If LPIA builds, we are in good shape for the needs of UME.

In this particular case, the 'xen' flavour is broken. Xen is
maintained by the Ubuntu community and is not officially supported by
Canonical. If they fail to fix it in the window between two uploads,
we can disable the build for one cycle. In most cases though, they are
very responsive and will get around to it.

Regards,
Amit
