With the new Intrepid release, yesterday, do I just need to get the USB version of that dist. and use that to install it on my Samsung Q1 Ultra?* Do I need to do anything special, or get a Mobile/UMPC specially cooked version of Intrepid, or will the main version of Intrepid "just work"?
Thanks,
John

Hi John
Check out this post for some info on UMPC and MID versions with download links.
Unfortaunely Ubuntu-mid does work on MIDs yet. I dont understand why (Intel drives not available yet?) but thats for Canonical and Intel to sort out. Hopefuly very soon!
Steve.

The VG is 6G. Actual use is about 3G. This machine runs fileserver, squid, DNS.

Yes. Actually, a pretty complete install will easily fit in 10gig. I
have X11 w/ gnome (although *I* don't use gnome myself), most of the
-devel stuff, xen, etc. I have a 2 gig /, 1 gig /var, and 6 gig /usr --
total 9gig. (I have a separate 6 gig /home, plus several other file
systems carved out of a LVM volumn group).

I have it running with X, Apache etc running in a little over 5 GB disk
so 10 GB should be no problem.
