Subject: Re: [Maverick] [ti-omap4] SRU: A fixing for default boot on HDMI with ES2.0
To: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@canonical.com>
hi,
2010/10/6 Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@canonical.com>
SRU Justification:
Impact: Some SYNC_LOST_DIGIT errors are still reported with some screens caused
by display underflows issues.
Fix: This patch fix this issue with the following x-loader patch.
Testcase: Tested the patched kernel and x-loader on Pandaboard ES2.1 board.
This issue is gone.
BugLink: http://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/655746
Note: Be careful that this patch has a dependency on a x-loader patch.
Both patches shall be integrated simultaneously.

I dont see this fix in the recent kernel upload note that this is essential else ES2.0 pandaboard will not boot anymore ...
...according to the IRC conversation below it was merged though, is there just a changelog entry missing (we uploaded the matching x-loader patch so booting will be broken unless the kernel patch is in too) ?
<ogra> tgardner, so if cooloneys patch hits the git tree, feel free to upload, i just pushed the x-loader patch
<tgardner> ogra: in progress
<ogra_ac> tgardner, err, bryan just says its not in the git tree yet
<tgardner> ogra: like I said, its in progress. I'll get it pushed soon, then upload thereafter.
<ogra_ac> ah, it just only hit the ML
<ogra_ac> ok, thanks
* ogra_ac calms down a bit

<tgardner> ogra, rsalveti: pushed (you'll need to rebase). I'll upload in a bit.
<rsalveti> tgardner: cool, thanks a lot
ciao
