Default config for alsa backports

Hello,

i am using linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.31-19-generic with Ubuntu
karmic 9.10. Since the this release, for my HP DV7-1160eg notbook, I
have to set the model in the

/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

to

options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv5 enable_msi=1.

Before that, I could use

options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv4-1222nr enable_msi=1

instead.

Now I wonder me, whether

CONFIG_SND_HDA_POWER_SAVE

set or not. I need it is set, because only then the mut LED is
controlled by alsa.

Could anybody tell me, where to find with this information ?

Yours sincerly

TF

That package is deprecated. Remove it and any model quirk, and use
linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev.

From the build log for linux-backports-modules-2.6.31_2.6.31-20.22:

checking for additonal options to compile driver for... all

So, yes, it's enabled.
