As mentioned in my earlier post I had been working on backporting
patches which improves TSC as a clocksource for ubuntu-hardy guest
running under VMware platform.

Attached is a tarball which contain patches which can be applied on top
of ubuntu hardy tree. Some of these patches are not direct backports
from the corresponding mainline, but I have modified them a little to
make only the minimal required changes to the hardy tree.

Please have a look at these patches and consider them for the next hardy
update.
