Default How does it come bug LP: #286285 does not get fixed for months?

I am just asking on this mailing list to get an explanation why a
bug [1] that produced full cpu usage and a full root partition when
an INTEL wireless network card is used does not get fixed for MONTHS.
There was even a commit in the intrepid-kernel git [2] that was
proved to fix the bug. It was then reverted because it was
superseded by some other commit. But the link [3] in the description
to this commit is broken.

Best regards
Christoph Korn
