Default sendmail check step by step testing

Dear sir



can tell me what is step by step analisy if sendmail is not working,

firstly check servicese sendmail
port 25 is working or not working
log file message
log maillog

then
?

Default sendmail check step by step testing

*try check your
* sendmail config file (ip parameters) + m4
* iptables
* daemons services
* use dig / nslookup / mail command to test
*other solutions found @ google.
