email attachment limit

Hi Everyone,

I'm using Cent os Sendmail in my organisation, but as per the customer
requirements I want to set up the attachment size limit in Sendmail, so as
to prevent the users from attaching big files & also I want to know what is
the default size limit to attach files in sendmail.

Hi Surendra,

In Sendmail, you can play with the MaxMessageSize parameter. It's by
default 0 (infinite), and represent the max size of an outgoing mail
message. For example for my outgoing SMTP server it's:

MaxMessageSize=1000000 (in bytes)

Check out /usr/share/sendmail/cf/README for more details.

Regards.
