How to reset the ILO console password
You can use the HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility which is hponcfg. You can get this from a Proliant Support Pack or you can download it from the HP site.

How to reset the ILO console password
If using Windows server:
x64:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=1 5351&prodSeriesId=3884319&prodNameId=3884320&swEnv OID=1005&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-0cf78c01fe194fb4953e43dc97
Then use these xml samples as a guide:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=1 5351&prodSeriesId=3884319&prodNameId=3884320&swEnv OID=1005&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-4b72daed6e554cefad65364462
If using linux:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=388432 0&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3884319 &lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20%BB
Download the iLO Online Configuration utility (hponcfg) as mentioned in a
prior email. Then download the xml scripting samples. You can configure it
pretty much entirely without a reboot. Rebooting certainly is easiest but
its not always practical on a production system.
Hope that helps.
