You can press 1 to see the processor break down in the upper portion of the window when top is running. *(You may need to press T first if you have been using other keys.) --ron

That is ancient, I doubt that came from RHEL5.

Sorry, I had a major brainfart.

This is a VMWare ESX machine. So it's a variant? of RHEL3.

I guess the feature just wasn't there yet.

Strange...On this system:[root@test etc]# uname -aLinux test1 2.6.18-53.el5xen #1 SMP Wed Oct 10 17:06:12 EDT 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux[root@asvvm1 etc]# cat /etc/redhat-release*Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.1 (Tikanga)I get the output shown in the attached screen shot after pressing the 1 (one) button after starting top --ron
