Why is it that my package get rejected, if I have sign it using a key
that I've uploaded to Launchpad?

You have to sign the Ubuntu Code of Conduct in order to upload to a PPA.

Are you an ubuntero? That is, have you signed the Ubuntu Code of Conduct?
You have to sign the Code of Conduct to use the PPA service, you should
be able to do so from this page:
