Default google-earyh flickers

Hi

I just installed googleearth v4.3 but it is barely usable since the
window flickers all the time.

What settings can I adjust to avoid this?

It sounds like you don't have 3-D acceleration enabled (for NVIDIA and
ATI graphics cards you need the restricted drivers).

If it's not your 3D drivers, perhaps you have the settings in googearth set
too high? Also, try to run it from a konsole, maybe there will be some info
displayed that will help you.

You can also check the logs in:
~/.xsession-errors
and
/var/log/Xorg.* (there are a few files)
