Why not put linux on your phone? I understand it is one of the more linux compatible units. Google....

Sorry to see you replacing your poodle :(
It looks like the openmoko guys are making some progress. There is also some progress on some of the HTC phones IIRC. Check with the guys over at openembedded to get more info.

OK here goes, I HATE replaceing the zaurus, but need a new phone and thought
getting them together would be good if possible. I dont really use the zaurus
to the potential I should... seems a waste. And my pants keep riding down
with all the weight of my radio, pager, zaurus, cell-phone... :)

I'll look at the suggested sites for reviewing cells. I really use kopi, and
kapi on teh zaurus, syncs well with my korganizer...

I know exactly what you mean. I want to replace my Palm (also not fully
utilized) with a new phone. I'll have to check out everything that's been
suggested to you, but here in Canada we don't get that much flexibility in
the phones available. Heck, we can't even have iPhones (yet).
