It seems to me that Konqueror is in the uncanny valley for many users.
Close enough to be familiar, different enough to be scary. Dolphin is
different enough to stay outside the uncanny valley, yet it is easy
enough for most people to use.

Default Configure Konqi as default file manager

I think dolphin is very good for most people, and if I picked up linux
for the first time and dolphin is what came up I would probably use it,
but I know the power of Konqueror and the power of tabs. As soon as
Dolphin gets tabs I will no longer need Konqueror.
