just to check if I can connect an HP printer model C5280 or C5180 without any
problem under (K)Ubuntu.

It's fine HP has its own linux development prj called hplip :

Default Printer HP C5280 supported ?

yes: HPLIP - Printer toolbox

I think it is installed by default but if not, apt-get install hplip

Try https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport/Components and sub-pages (make a "hardware" search in the Wiki a go to Printers).


If there is not information about these printer make or models, you can add it.
