re update firefox 9 to 11
Jos'e,
what you mean 'start firefox in Profile Manager, to create a new profile:' and by doing what you say it should disappear from my kpackagelist? ray On 5/12/12, José Queiroz <zekkerj@gmail.com> wrote: > Instead avoiding update, try to disable your extensions/addons, or even > creating a new profile for you. > > start firefox w/ disabled addons: > > killall -TERM firefox > firefox -SecureMode > > start firefox in Profile Manager, to create a new profile: > > killall -TERM firefox > firefox -ProfileManager > > 2012/5/11 ray burke <rayburke30@gmail.com> > >> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- >> From: ray burke <rayburke30@gmail.com> >> Date: Fri, 11 May 2012 06:39:18 +1000 >> Subject: re update firefox 9 to 11 >> To: kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com >> >> Can anyone help please- >> >> I the other day update thru kpackagekit in my k 10.10 firefox 11, but >> after i rebooted and started ff11 when >> i went online it kept crashing ,and sent a report, then tried 11 >> attempts but still crashed, so I clonned back to my >> k10.10mm backup which was clonned on 23/4/12, and again using ff9, so >> how do I stop it updating to ff11, >> showing within my kpakagekit? see attached >> >> ray >> >> -- >> kubuntu-users mailing list >> kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com >> Modify settings or unsubscribe at: >> https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users >> > -- kubuntu-users mailing list kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users |

Jos'e, what you mean 'start firefox in Profile Manager, to create a new profile:' and by doing what you say it should disappear from my kpackagelist? I mean exactly what I said: start firefox in Profile Manager, to create a new profile. Maybe you should read about FF profiles? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Profiles No, by doing what I said, you'll not go back to FF9 [This is not a good idea] neither avoid your system to update FF to FF12. Doing what I said you'll just probably find why FF12 won't worked for you. ray On 5/12/12, José Queiroz <zekkerj@gmail.com> wrote: > Instead avoiding update, try to disable your extensions/addons, or even > creating a new profile for you. > > start firefox w/ disabled addons: > > killall -TERM firefox > firefox -SecureMode > > start firefox in Profile Manager, to create a new profile: > > killall -TERM firefox > firefox -ProfileManager > > 2012/5/11 ray burke <rayburke30@gmail.com> > >> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- >> From: ray burke <rayburke30@gmail.com> >> Date: Fri, 11 May 2012 06:39:18 +1000 >> Subject: re update firefox 9 to 11 >> To: kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com >> >> Can anyone help please- >> >> I the other day update thru kpackagekit in my k 10.10 firefox 11, but >> after i rebooted and started ff11 when >> i went online it kept crashing ,and sent a report, then tried 11 >> attempts but still crashed, so I clonned back to my >> k10.10mm backup which was clonned on 23/4/12, and again using ff9, so >> how do I stop it updating to ff11, >> showing within my kpakagekit? see attached >> >> ray >> >> -- >> kubuntu-users mailing list >> kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com >> Modify settings or unsubscribe at: >> https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users >> > -- kubuntu-users mailing list kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users -- kubuntu-users mailing list kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users |
