As per the subject - it takes a good 30 seconds after the desktop loads before
it will respond to mouse clicks - seems to coincide with the wireless
connecting. htop & top show no special load happening

Apps that autoload such as firefox or konsole are fine though, so my guess is
it plasma related.

KDE 4.8.2
Kubuntu 12.04 64 bit

It happened with 4.8.1 as well.
