dear sir,
i am using kubuntu 9.04.newly i upgrade 9.10 .i restart the pc after upgrade version.but i cant login .the pc asking password i enter the my password (previous i used) but i cant log in .the display is asking password .which password will use now .so help me.

Please check the permissions in /tmp:

$ ls -ld /tmp/
drwxrwxrwt 16 root root 440 Feb 28 06:50 /tmp/

^^^^^^ this must match with your settings!

no problem, you are welcome.

Press CTRL ALT F2 to get a command window. Log in with your username and the
password. After that type

ls -ld /tmp

and check the output. It should be

drwxrwxrwt 16 root root 440 Feb 28 06:50 /tmp/
