Kpackage is a package that allows you to install programs and manage your software with few clicks. I have Kubuntu installed and it already installed the required drivers (sound and video ,..etc) you can find it by either typing 'kpackage' in the search bar or Applications>system> software management.
I hope that helped

KPackage
For whatever reason, someone has decided to remove KPackage from the
Debian distro. 'Really bad idea, if you ask me. Anyway, when I
upgraded one of my systems to "Squeeze", I issued the `apt-get
autoremove` command before I realized it would remove KPackage. I also
have another system that was just upgraded, and if I were to issue the
autoremove command, it would also remove it on that system. Is there a
good way to prevent apt-get from removing a package (in this case,
KPackage) it thinks is no longer necessary and yet still issue the `apt-
get autoremove` command? Is there a good way to get KPackage back onto
the other system? Is there some way we could get someone to reverse the
decision to remove KPackage from Debian?

Uh...yeah. My question is, "How do I do that?" I tried `echo kpackage
hold | dpkg --set-selections`, but that doesn't seem to work - at least
not for autoremove. When I run apt-get -s autoremove`, kpackage is one
of the apps listed as slated for removal.
How does one "pin a package" to a release?

AFAIU, kpackage lacks support for some important things needed by apt.
Use at your own risk.

And to make it blend in with KDE install gtk-qt-engine and
kde-config-gtk-style, go to System Configuration and set GTK programs to
use the KDE theme.

JFYI, there is an ITP for Kpackagekit and other projects "in the
wild" (like Shaman) aimed to replace KPackage.
Greetings,
