Default konqueror 4.2 bug?

I've had this problem at least 4.1 and always attributed it to the immaturity
of kde4.

In konqueror toolbars, when I select the icon size to be "small icons", the
change does not persist. If I close konqueror and open a new instance, the
icons are all set to "medium icons".

I have set System Settings > Appearance > Icons > Advanced > Toolbar & Main
Toolbar to the smallest icon size (16).

Is there a way to force a save of the konqueror icon size?
