I just don't want to offend my favorite source for help. Post length refers to the message inside the post, not the number of posts in the thread. Notice how I snipped out all of the text I was not responding to in this one? They had no direct bearing on what I want to say and if anyone needs the reference, they have copies of the previous emails they can look at. If someone were to reply to this to comment on something I am saying, they may choose to leave the part I've left quoted as well as my new part because they want to refer to both texts, or they may snip out your part that I quoted because they only want to respond to what I said. If someone responds to that person, they make the same decision. It gets confusing to see quoted message after quoted message when some of it can be trimmed without losing any pertinent information and all the extraneous information is just that - extraneous. So it requires more effort to get to the new part when you've already gotten the gist of the old part. -- kubuntu-users mailing list kubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-users |
