Default KNode warning about line length

about KNode (version 0.99.01)

Every time I want to post an article to a newsgroup, I get the following
warning:

> "Your article contains lines longer than 80 characters.
> Do you want to re-edit the article or send it anyway?"

The warning is correct, and I don't want to use more than 80 characters, but
why do I have to check this myself? In KDE3, KNode didn't complain and managed
the line length without user intervention. Isn't there an option to let the
new KNode manage solve this?

In KDE 3x there is settings/configure knode/posting news/Composer
Tab/General. There is a checkbox to word wrap at column and a spin
bar to set the column.

Default KNode warning about line length

Is it possible to get Kubuntu to use the power of a GeForce 6950m 6S 512 MB GPU which is built into my Acer Aspire laptop? At the moment it is only running as a generic VESA chip at 800 * 600 which isn't much use. I have Kubuntu 8.04 (I think) installed from a PCPRO magazine distro. December issue I think.
Although it seems to recognise the sound hardware it won't make any noise either, (Realtek high definition audio, according to the Vista Device Manager).

Fi naly, I have a Huwaei USB 3G datacard from Vodafone. Kubuntu does see it but I presume it needs to be configured before Kubuntu can get on-line as it doesn't do anything yet, anyone know how?

Thanks in anticipation.

Phil.

Because it's broken (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=167996), and
while the code has been fixed and the bug is now marked "resolved", I
doubt we'll be seeing it before the KDE4.2 release, and quite likely not
until Jaunty Jerbil is released.

Please don't just reply to a message when you have a completely different
question. This has nothing to do with Knode.

He knows that. This is kde 4.1, where knode is broken.

I haven't had much chance to test it, but, yes, some bugs have been cured in
KDE 4.2.

I just tested this. The patch isn't yet in 4.2.

Anyway, thanks for the information. Now I know the fix will reach my desktop
eventually.
