There has obviously been a lot of work put into the Ubuntu Software
Center, can we at least replicate this gui work for the Muon Software
Center?
How are decisions like Kickoff's default favorites selected? The
package center should definitely be put there imho, definitely handy
to have it there since it's frequently used.

Is there a problem with using the Ubuntu Software Center directly in Kubuntu? *It is the best software center I've used, and I fear it would be a waste to spend resources reproducing something that already works.

Sure Muon should be placed into the favorites: this way, new users will find

It's based entirely on Gnome technologies. However there might be
someone within Canonical taking forward the Qt QML prototype as a
spare time project so we might have competition between package
managers soon.

Tell that to Gnome.

The only problem I have is that the Gnome app doesn't look as good
compared to the Qt apps as exemplified by this screenshot:

Dolphin would have been a better choice to show what I mean, but I
think you can see where its noticeably not a QT app that you are
running.
