By chance does anyone else have a graphics card with an onboard hdmi
audio output?
I only see this warning after I load the proprietary drivers for my ATI
Radeon HD4850 (fglrx drivers)
which turns on this output, after the desktop starts up, however the
warning flag seems to be
erroneous in my case as the analog sound still works just fine. And
sometimes the flag does not
pop-up at all on restarting the X-Server (driver loading schedule
conflict?).
Debugging this behavior is most difficult as ATI does not ship debug
symbols with their drivers,
and for some reason there is no entry in the x-server or system logs to
indicate the error.
BTW: I have a desktop system, not a notebook. ASUS P5QC mobo w/Intel
2.6ghz QuadCore.
