Default Advice about ati-drivers?

Hi list. I think some of you have Radeon video cards, right? I'm having
trouble getting my built-in video card to work:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] Family 12h Processor Root Complex
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI BeaverCreek [Radeon HD 6530D]

The problem is that the screen goes black during boot if KMS is enabled,
but works just fine when disabled.

I found an error in dmesg, but I don't know how to fix it:

BTW, I did compile in all three SUMO firmware files, and SUMO_pfp.bin
is one of them. Should I see messages for the other two *if* they did
load okay? I don't know if they did or not.
