Hi

Is there a way to safely install python modules ? Except from portage itself
(or do I need an overlay ?)

Thanks

The ones in portage are best (that is, most likely to work and keep working).* You can use
an overlay for ones you cannot otherwise find, but then all maintenance is yours to do.
