I'd like to announce that I've created an initial project page for
Gentoo systemd project [1].
The main purpose of that project page would be keeping docs for systemd
users in Gentoo. Hopefully, we will include some soon. If anyone is
interested in helping out, we'd be grateful.
We won't be probably maintaining many packages, thus I'm not adding
a herd. We can be reached through systemd@g.o alias though.

Is there any particular reason to create this project as a top-level
project? I don't see why this shouldn't be a base sub-project, like openrc.

I asked base-system about that and they didn't like that idea. I think
that would suggest systemd is a part of Gentoo base system.

that's not exactly what i said. i said i dont like systemd, but that
base-system does make the most sense if no dedicated herd was created
for it. and that you could add it to said herd if you listed yourself
as maintainer.
however, that's the herd structure ... you could still do
proj/en/base/systemd/ ...

Sorry, I mis-understood you then. I have just moved systemd below base,
and added it to index.xml.

By the way, base/index.xml doesn't mention openrc sub-project. Is that
a feature or a bug?

In my opinion, a bug.
Someone needs to update the base/index.xml page.
