Just found that I'm unable to print with cups-1.4:

Since Samsung printers are rather popular I think this is a blocker. But
probably this is local problem only. Could anybody confirm that problem
and report to the bug report?

If you're like me and you have CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=m then the above
suggestion is a bit extreme. All that I had to do was uncomment
usblp in the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file that's installed by
sys-fs/udev-158 on my system.
