does not manifest during compile. tftp <host|ip> -c get foo ... segs on
"get"

Great to hear!

Speaking of which, I don't see any bugs reported in the Gentoo bug
tracker. How can I reproduce the seg fault you're seeing? I just
compiled tftp-hpa-5.1 with gcc-4.5.3-r1.
