emerge of sys-libs/ss fails on install to image

I'm attempting to compile openssh with kerberos support on a system
running OS X 10.5.1. app-crypt/mit-krb5 depends on sys-libs/ss which
is failing at the install stage of the emerge. The output is below

>>> Source compiled.
>>> Test phase [not enabled]: sys-libs/ss-1.40.4

>>> Install ss-1.40.4 into /Users/wilson/Library/Gentoo/var/tmp/
portage/sys-libs/ss-1.40.4/image/Users/wilson/Library/Gentoo/ category

Below is the output of ls in what seems to be the directories in
question:

$ ls /Users/wilson/Library/Gentoo/var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/ss-1.40.4/

$ ls /Users/wilson/Library/Gentoo/var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/ss-1.40.4/

libss.1.0.dylib exists in the directory 'make' is in, but there is no
'lib' directory at the destination. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. If I can provide any more useful information please ask.

Thanks,
Aaron

emerge of sys-libs/ss fails on install to image

Sorry. This was entirely my fault. My emerge --sync had been failing
with

svn: Failed to add directory 'dev-util/git': object of the same name
already exists

which stopped the svn update. I've fixed the problem and everything is
working fine now.

Thanks

Please sync and test for x86-macos. I copied the darwin patch from
com_err, and it works for ppc-macos.
