I won't make it to bump it because I have to travel shortly.
In case anyone wants to patch, here is the commit:

Is anyone else experiencing troubles with 2.2.01.17294?

After upgrading my x64_macos prefix to Portage 17294 I am getting this
for every merge:
----
>>> Merging sys-apps/portage-2.2.01.17294 to /

!!! Cannot write to '/Users'.
!!! Please check permissions and directories for broken symlinks.
!!! You may start the merge process again by using ebuild:
!!! ebuild /Users/mattm/gentoo/usr/portage/sys-apps/portage/portage-2.2.01.17294.ebuild
merge
!!! And finish by running this: env-update
----

My EPREFIX is "/Users/mattm/gentoo"

Regards,
Matt.

I won't make it to bump it because I have to travel shortly.
In case anyone wants to patch, here is the commit:

I masked that version for grobian to sort out. Sadly, looks like it is
"tricky" to downgrade portage again =/
