rubygems-1.3.7-r4 working on x86-Solaris prefix

I was able to get this working simply using the ecopy script, with
ruby-1.8.7_p299 installed.

Also, we should all remember to mention the ecopy page @
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gentoo-alt/prefix/ecopy.xml when newbies
ask about ebuilds. :-)
