hm, so is there another way to access the tree snapshots in the
meantime? (IP?).

The machine is just alive (rsync5.prefix.freens.org), you can try if its
IP does anything. This situation sulks tremendously of course.

i meant the tree snapshot tar.gz's downloaded by the bootstrap script...
but yeah, of course i can rsync manually too, and use that as tree...

I meant that the rsync5 address is the address of the machine So
since it serves a virtual host on rsync5.... you could try the IP
address, and perhaps get the snapshots dir

I rely on emerge-webrsync and that is now broken for an undefined
amount of time.. (Owner of domain is on vacation)

As such, I've just committed a portage patch to use another mirror. For
those that relay on webrsync, you will have to manually patch until you
can sync again. =/ You can find my patch here:

files.prefix.freens.org is what prefix.gentooexperimental.org was.
