Unable to launch eclipse
 
Hi,

Eclipse won't launch on my Fedora x86_64 AMD box. When I try it displays
an error message asking me to check the log file.


Below is what is written the log file

help either.

Is this a new eclipse install or are you trying to update eclipse to a

It is a fresh Fedora 8 install. I installed eclipse from pirut.

It is a fresh Fedora 8 install. I installed eclipse from pirut.

my advice would be to remove your current eclipse and download the
eclipse Linux (x86_64/GTK 2) tar.gz from here:

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.3.1.1-200710231652/index.php

Please file a bug and include the output of:

for f in `rpm -qa | egrep "eclipse|swt"`; do echo $f; rpm -qV $f; done

Also, include the output of:

which java
java -version
