Default Java applets not working in firefox in fedora 17

Hi,

I use fedora 17 64 bit and my firefox version is 12.0. Java applets
are not run in firefox. I have icedtea-web installed and following are
the content of my /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugin/

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Jun 8 21:28 libflashplayer.so ->
/usr/lib64/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 18768 May 16 01:46 libgnome-shell-browser-plugin.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Sep 18 20:27 libjavaplugin.so ->
/etc/alternatives/libjavaplugin.so.x86_64
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 6056 Apr 24 22:33
librhythmbox-itms-detection-plugin.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 106608 May 15 20:20 libtotem-cone-plugin.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 111312 May 15 20:20 libtotem-gmp-plugin.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 73472 May 15 20:20 libtotem-mully-plugin.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 86256 May 15 20:20 libtotem-narrowspace-plugin.so

any help to get java plugin working firefox?

What does 'readlink -f /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so' show?

Okay, looks like your alternatives are set correctly. In firefox, what
does aboutlugins say?

Which applet are you trying to load btw?

That one does not work for me either. The error is:

Exception in thread "Applet" java.lang.ClassFormatError: Incompatible magic value 1011373133 in class file RGBApplet

Seem like an error in the way the .class file was compiled.

Ah okay, works now.

So FF does see the plugin.

Seems like something is going wrong during applet loading. Can you
please:

1. Close all firefox instances

2. Open a terminal and run:
'ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG=true firefox 2>&1 | tee /tmp/console.log'

3. Post /tmp/console.log, ~/.icedtea/log/java.stderr and
~/.icedtea/log/java.stdout somewhere (or send them to me via a reply to
this message)
