Replace "input.flv" with the source filename and "output.mp4" with your
desired output file name. That should do it.
I tried that earlier but don't no how to deal with the errors.

I am using ffmpeg installed via yum a few days ago, should be the

Does the solution require using ffmpeg?
I use "handbrake" a gui tool for all my conversion needs and it works great.
It isn't a Fedora download, and you have to use the download from their site for F16 but it works fine in F17. Just an option if you care to explore.

Only app. I found, ffmpeg. I'll try "handbrake," whatever will
convert flash to mp4 was the objective.
Thanks.

OK, good, I just converted the Flash file I last tried to do with
ffmpeg using handbrake and VLC plays it full screen. It works for me
... I'll give it a better work out tomorrow. End of day here, that's
several problems solved today!
Thanks Ed,
