Hey Shawn,
This looks cool and I'd like to tr it.
after expanding teh zip file, creating a folder,
i ran gnome-tweak-tool, but no joy.
Any pointer to a more install for dummies reference?

is found in the log. this empty directory was to be created, but has no content...

I installed by going to that link in Firefox and clicking the On
toggle. I didn't have any issues installing it with that method, but I
would like a CLI way to install the extensions though.

I have found also this extension:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/37/quicklaunch/
but it's missing of some features:
1. cannot manage folder or groups
2. cannot delete or modify launcher
3. cannot reorder launcher
I'd like to add these features to this extension, but unfortunately I'm
not a java (scripts) programmer, then I solved the 2 and 3 problems
simply by creating a launcher containing this command:
