Default F17 preupgrade

First, preupgrade-cli does not work, stops in some .py stuff. Can't get
info, b'cause another comp. No problem, pure preupgrade went smoothly
trough, new 17 all ok, so far. When closing comp kernel panic, again
can't produce message here, but remember, that can't find shutdown.sh
script was one of messages... So, my lap lenovo t61 works, but shutdown
has problems... Doomed to be alive for ever? Heh... So have to wait
other comps upgrading, probably near to 18 rc2 or something. One
question, where you guys, who know something about code and so, have
hurry... If you do distro for people, make sure u understand, that
persons like me, 60 old want to use it. KISS, KISS, u make more crowns
just waiting, not with rush. World IS IS and IS, people aren't.

I realise it can be difficult to do things precisely with age, but
still I would like to say if you want help with your issue, you need
to provide complete information. I don't think we have any mind
readers on the list.

If copying text to the email is not possible, you could take a picture
with a camera and put it up on some service like imagebin and link
from your email. In short, more information helps, just complaining
doesn't.

I sure beg mercy... I was bad mood. I know that exact info makes best
effort. But sometimes cry like mine, makes somebody, WHO REALLY CAN CODE
read, as you did. I am more worry, this or all distros are going more
complicated, WHY? I'm after KISS.

Ok, so I think I just went through this same path yesterday.

I noticed the upgrade did not correctly set the new kernel in grub, so
I was booting kernel-3.3.7-1.fc16 instead of kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17.

I just did a "yum remove kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17" followed by "yum install
kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17" and everything including shutdown, started
working again
