When I plug my iphone to the usb, I get this message and then the iphone is not mounted.
dmes prints this messages.
Could you help please.
the iphone is under ios 5.x

Are you trying to mount as a storage device or you trying to tether you
iphone? Messages provided indicate that a USB network device was
attached not a storage device. I don't know if you can tether an iphone
to a fedora machine.

Did you search the list archives (or Google)? This has been discussed
extensively before now. The basic reason is that an iPhone is not a
memory device that can just be mounted like a pen drive. It needs a
special protocol for access.
Try running Rythmbox and then inserting the phone. IIRC it can access
some functions, though not all. Amarok can also do this.

that is my probleme: when the iphone was at version 4.x, rhythmbox used to detect it.
now, with version 5.x, thythmbox does not detect it any more.

You can use ftp to transfer files, this will work forever independent
of what apples changes in its phone.
