Default linux: POSIX "compliance" versus POSIX "conformance"?

somewhat OT, i realize, but is there a good online paper discussing
linux WRT to POSIX, and the state of things these days? a local
colleague wants to know related to possible adoption of linux within
his organization. thanks.
