Is there a reason that Forced Fallback mode isn't acceptable?

With the desktop being display the top panel/bar is unreadable,
which is about 5 percent of the screen. When only selects on the
applications the favorite icons are fine, and the icons and text in
the main part of the screen are fine. The 15% on the far right were
it shows the catagories have most of the characters display
unreadable.

It is acceptable, but would like to be able to use the gnome3
option, since it is the default, and it I can get it to work 100% that
would be best. Since it can work after playing with the
gnome-tweak-tool, it seems like it is something minor that is
causing the issue. Perhaps there is an option or some setting that
I have not been able to find.

Could you link to either a screenshot or a picture of the problem?
Sounds like a driver issue, but not sure.
Are you using nouveau or the nvidia binary driver?

Yes, I had seen that bug report in earlier searches, and as you
stated it doesn't seem to show any solutions to the problem. I was
hoping someone on the list might have already found a way
around the problem, rather than having to wait. Have added a
comment on my experience with gnome-tweak-tool,
Thanks.

Linux Fedora F16 (Verne) on Acer 5720
there is no known activity on this bug (while nouveau driver seems to be
updated for F-17, but a different maintainer is involved).
Some of the people from this list have reported their problem from the
list to the bug, no reply by the assignee so far, and the bug is quite
old (reported for the first time at the beginning of October!!!)
