Thanks for the replies. I was looking to put one into my notebook (fairly new, and from what I know, SSD compatible). I take issue with my current HDD mostly due to the fact that spindown timeouts seem to be broken, and it gets way too hot in some cases. 120GB sounds like a good deal, I have a secondary drive for bulk storage anyway.

I just did that on my new system, and it is definitely faster.
I got a 64GB SSD and keep current and previous fedora
partitions on it (32GB each) along with a small stand
along grub for chainloading the fedoras:

It depends on your needs and personal taste. In my opinion, SSD
harddrives are just too expensive. I am quite satisfied with my
7200rmp SATA disks.
