A change in the gcc compiler broke grub in f15 and f16. This wasn't
considered
a blocker because f16 wasn't going to use grub. It doesn't affect you
unless you run grub-install as the copies installed by rpm aren't used
for booting.
Check if bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=718722 is what
you are seeing.
No. I do not get the errors in that bug. grub-install runs without errors,
and the machine fails to boot with "Error 16" on a blank screen.
