Did I just miss the howto for installing nVidia drivers (from RPMFusion)
on F14 64-bit?
Seems to be a problem with the install and a script failing to launch
(selinux?) to load the module.
Nothing here or on the (seemingly less frequented) RPMfusion lists I can
find. Can someone point me in the right direction? Looking for the
correct incantation...
Nouveau is much improved, but I still need the nVidia drivers for a few
things I run that are otherwise not well supported.
Cheers,
Chris

If it was an SELinux issue, you should see an AVC in

According to the Howto on RPMFusion website
(http://rpmfusion.org/Howto/nVidia), it says you need to "lower your
system protection so SElinux doesn't prevent the driver to load" by
running this:
setsebool -P allow_execstack on
But it also says that this should be done automatically, when you
install the driver...

...Yup. That definitely looks like it. Added myself to the CC list.
Thanks!
Cheers,

I guess I wasn't explicit in saying in my OP that I had loaded the
experimental Mesa DRI drivers. But I had indeed already done that.
Compiz doesn't work without them at all, and barely works with them
loaded.
Like I wrote before, Nouveau is much improved, but frankly it still has
a very long way to go.
