don't. If not, please install them from the default repo and ou should

Run the folling from the command line:
su -c 'yum install gtk2-devel libglade2-evel'
Enter the root password, when prompted, and things should be all set.
This should bring in glib2-devel, as well. Good luck!

tmp/linux-2.6.34 is the directory containing my kernel code.
I ran the sudo yum command as you suggested. I then ran the make xconfig command from my tmp/linux-2.6.34 folder and got this:
