After navigating a few circular dependencies, your suggestion allowed me to downgrade to the 0.22-2 versions of the myth applications. (Maybe that's what I ran last, instead of my claimed 0.22-1.) However, I'm getting the same error message when launching mythfrontend. I am reading various posts from mythtv discussion groups, but they haven't led to a solution yet. Can anyone provide me any advice for identifying the root cause of this sort of problem. mythfrontend is spewing information to the terminal, but I don't know how utilize it. I feel like I should try to trace what libraries are being loaded, or something like that.
