Default F8 Compiz Blur Plugin Etc - Second Try

All,

I could not locate the Blur related configuration in the GLDesktop
preferences. I have configured the Blur directly through the Compiz
configuration tool. It appears that the changes that are made through
the compiz configuration are not reflected. Now that we have two
configuration tools (GLDesktop and CompizConfig) which one is
authoritative and how to make the configuration made through
CompizConfig to be effective?

Thanks

Srikanth

I have either configured the plugins manually using the gconf-editor, or
run the compiz command with the plugins you want ..
i.e
compiz --replace decoration wobbly cube minimize zoom scale move resize
place switcher shift water gconf &

Cheers
