Try downloading and reinstalling the previous gdm, which is gdm-2.20.1-7.fc8 gdm-2.20.2-2.fc8 has re-created this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=379511 It's not exactly the same as what you report, but perhaps it's related. Therefore, if you downgrade back to gdm-2.20.1-7.fc8 and it works again, you might want to add a note about it to the above bug report. -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Melville Sask ~ http://www.melvilletheatre.com -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@redhat.com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list |

It involved the use of ISPConfig and ISPConfig encountered a fedora[7/8] GDM bug that caused "fast-switcher-?" to run at 100% CPU speed and it blocked Gnome's Login screen, according to this thread for those who are interested. The temporary fix is to use KDE's login screen. http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13918&highlight=fedora+gdm+ispcon fig No virus found in this outgoing message.
